What people really want to know...
Can I test ride your bikes?
Short answer- no! We're an online only retailer and unfortunately test rides are not part of what we offer. Our value comes from different places. For example, the cost of an E-Bike through us will not include the costs associated with running a physical premises., That's why we can offer our best price guarantee! If a test ride is a deal breaker for you, look at local bike shops and see if they can help.
Why do Powered Pedals not have many reviews?
The bikes we sell here at Powered Pedals have lots of reviews and are trusted by many top retailers. We've decided not to export other peoples reviews onto our site, as we want our reviews to be truly authentic and include your opinions on our customer service. As we're a fairly new retailer to the market, we haven't got lots of reviews just yet. But don't be put off by that! Many retailers who have been around longer, begin to automate and outsource as much as possible- including their customer service. At Powered Pedals, we're staying true to what we believe and handling customer service directly ourselves. Luke and Laura (the owners) will discuss anything you need via email of phone and always push to get you the best deal.
What if something goes wrong with my bike?
Like with anything you buy online, there are 'what if' questions. Working with a smaller online retailer like ourselves means you'll have us in your corner and getting any issues resolved as quickly as possible.
The reality is, sometimes things don't work. With the brands we use, we find it's very rare, but when it does heppen, we know what to do. Here are some possible scenarios:
- If you find a fault with your bike upon delivery, we'll help you arrange for it to be replaced at no extra cost.
- If your bike goes wrong once you've started riding it, we'll help assess whether it's a warranty claim. Sometimes, it's just part of owning a bike that little things need fixing and maintaining. We'd always recommend regular servicing at your local bike shop. If something more significant has gone wrong, depending on the brand you have, we'll have someone out to look at it or arrange for it to be returned at no extra cost for repair or replacement.
How do I know which size to choose?
If one of our E-Bikes has taken your fancy, you'll see in it's description whether or not it's the right fit for you. We include rider height and weight to make sure that it's perfect. Some of our E-Bikes include multiple frame sizes. In this case, you can be more specific about which frame size is going to work best for you, based on your size.
Is my battery going to explode?
We very much hope not! At Powered Pedals, all of our brands have been chosen with great care. We've turned down partnerships with brands which other E-Bike retailers are continuing to work with, based on their choice of materials. Your safety is 100% our priority, as well as our reputation! Cheap E-Bikes are often cheap because they use low quality, exported batteries and motors. Nothing in the world is guaranteed, but we promise to do our absolute best to make sure you don't buy a bike with a battery that goes boom.
Here's a few things you can do optimise your E-Bike for safety:
- Buy brand new.
- Yearly servicing.
- Only use the charger provided by the battery manufacturer.
